Polish film festival Era New Horizons spreads its activity. The festival has decided to release 6 films from this year`s edition. The first 3, Hunger by Steve McQueen, Oxygen by Ivan Vyrypaev and Double Take by Johan Grimonprez, were awarded by the jury as well as the public. The remaining titles, The Beaches of Agnès by Agnès Varda, Burrowing by Henrik Hellström & Frederik Wenzel and the Polish film The Forest by Piotr Dumala, are the festival selection committee's choice.

All the films will be released in the first half of 2010. Hunger will be released as first, on 8 January (Polish distribution in co-operation with Monolith Films). The festival is also the DVD and TV rights owner.

Era New Horizons International Film Festival is the biggest film event in Poland. In 2009, the festival presented 242 long features from over 40 countries and attracted 122 000 spectators.

The next edition will be held from 22 July - 1 August 2010.
