The photography and graphic art. group F11 - Iwona El Tanbouli-Jabłońska and Maciej Jabłoński - has accompanied the Era New Horizons festival for several years with subsequent parts of the cycle Silent Cinema, portraying people involved in cinema. At the 9^th festival they will be virtually presenting photos in an e-gallery.

"Our film portraits are simple, like 'the origins' of photography, symbolica, with no redundant details or sophisticated scenarios - the artists write about the Silent Cinema. - The search's aim is to find out the truth: can you somehow expose an artist photographically, does his 'temperament' shown on the photo match the 'temperament' of the film he made? We ask ourselves whether a simple portrait with a slight bit of our interpretation, of invented symbols, will cease to be 'just' a portrait. We want it, along with a capture with the film's title and the filmmaker's name, to become a poster of our story about the film".

Some memories and a tone of freshness: the e-gallery will show photos presented at previous expositions and those made this year. F11 warmly invites you to an e-vernissage on the 23^rd July 2009 on the first day of the festival at www.niemekino.com.pl
